The Royal Challengers Bangalore are leaving no stones unturned for the forthcoming UAE leg of IPL 2021. While they had a great first half of the competition, they do not want to waste it in the second half as they aim to carry forward with the same zeal and enthusiasm. The team recently competed in an intra-squad practice match as well to get into the competition mode.

The contingent was divided into two teams RCB A and RCB B with Harshal Patel and Devdutt Padikkal leading each side respectively. Since they did not have a coin, an internet router was used for the toss which RCB A won and chose to defend a score.

Post losing the toss, Padikkal said: "Obviously, not the most pleasant weather. We're going to have that challenge at least in one match in the tournament, so might as well get used to it."

While RCB A lost a wicket in the powerplay, they had a great start. ABD and Mohammad Azharudden staged a solid partnership for the second wicket with the former South African captain completing his fifty in just the seventh over.

He went on to reach his hundred as RCB A posted a total of 212/4 in their 20 overs, with Mr 360 ending with 104 runs off 46 deliveries. Azharudden also chipped in with a crucial 66.

"When we arrived and I got out off the bus, I thought it's crazy that we're trying to play a cricket game in the middle of the day. Luckily the breeze came up, I told Azharudeen that it's much better now and the pitch will get flatter. We had fun out there, I'm pleased with the runs on the board. It was very stretchy for the first 20 balls out there," De Villiers said after the innings.

In response, RCB B got off to a great start courtesy of Devdutt Padikkal and KS Bharat. The match went down to the wire with the contest tied after the penultimate ball but eventually, it was the Padikkal's side who emerged as the winner as they finished the chase with a boundary.
