Coming to the match, Australia Women claimed a dominant 5-wicket victory against Bangladesh Women. Chasing a target of 135, Australia Women were in trouble at one stage when they were reduced to 70/5. However, Beth Mooney (66) and Annabel Sutherland (26) stitched an unbeaten fifty-run partnership and helped take their team over the line. Beth Mooney was named player of the match after she guided Australia to victory with an unbeaten 66 off 75 deliveries.

With this result, Australia Women now have seven wins from seven games. They continue to show the same vigour and perseverance to win every game. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh team has had some good moments in the match but were ultimately overpowered by the dominant Aussies. Bangladesh has only registered one victory so far in the tournament and is at the second last spot in the standings. They faced India Women in their last match and had suffered a mammoth 110-run defeat.
