The 22nd match of IPL 2022 saw Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to earn their first win of the season. The defending champions put on a dominating performance to seal the game for their team. Although it was a really good performance from CSK, there were some nervy moments as well.

Mukesh Choudhary dropping a flurry of catches was one while Ambati Rayudu losing his cool at the umpire was another. The veteran batter looked annoyed at a decision from the on-field umpire. In the 14th over of RCB's innings, the umpire called a no-ball as there were three fielders behind square on the leg side.

Rayudu was the one responsible and thus he did not look too happy. He was seen having an animated chat with the umpire about the decision.

Nonetheless, Rayudu calmed down when he was made to understand what had exactly happened.

CSK shine!

Finally, a victory came along CSK's way after four defeats on the trot. Their fans were desperate for a win and so were the players. It reflected on the faces of the players when they beat RCB by 23 runs in their fifth game. Ravindra Jadeja hailed the team for notching up a victory and also dedicated his first-ever win as a captain to his wife.

"First of all, this is the first victory as a captain ever. I would like to dedicate to my wife because first victory is always special. Previous four games, we couldn't cross the line. But as a team, we came good. As a batting unit, everybody did a good job. Robbie and Shivam batted brilliantly. The bowlers contributed with the ball as well," said Jadeja at the post-match presentation.

With this win, CSK moved a place up to the ninth place in the points table.
