KKR all-rounder Andre Russell has announced himself ready for the upcoming edition of IPL by smashing huge sixes in the nets prior to the tournament. The franchise has shared a video of Russell in which he looks extremely determined to make a make in this year's competition after failing to have a significant impact last year. The 32-year-old is working on his fitness as well as his big-hitting ability.

Russell managed to score 117 runs in 10 matches in IPL 2020. In addition, he picked just 6 wickets as KKR could not find a place in the Playoffs. Given the way that Russell is training, he would look to make up for a poor season last year from his standards and power the Knights to wins and take them to the business end of the tournament.

Morgan on his way to recovery

While KKR skipper Eoin Morgan had sustained an injury in the ODI series against England, he has revealed that he is recovering fine and should be able to regain match fitness prior to the team's first game. In case, Morgan is not able to be match-ready in time, they will be the second team to look for another captain after Delhi Capitals. But while DC's regular skipper Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out for the entire season and has been replaced by Rishabh Pant, Morgan's injury seems a minor one with his availability doubtful only for the initial few matches. KKR will face SRH in their campaign opener on April 11.
