Best point of the grand finale

After Barty took the first set comfortably, Pliskova produced a break at a crucial time to take the second set into a tie-breaker which she won. As the match was taken to the final set, it was the World No. 1 who took charge as she went 5-2 up. With the match almost done and dusted, Pliskova was in mood to give up as she decided to fight it out till the last point. The grit and determination of both players produced a magical rally which the fans will remember for a long time.

Serving to save the match, Pliskova forced Barty wide with her serve and backed it up with another shot down the line. As the Czech player raced towards the net, she played a delightful drop shot and completely caught Barty off guard. However, the Aussie remarkably managed to cover the distance and sent the ball over the net only to get a return very quickly.

Barty was also not giving up as she gave another nice return at the net with Pliskova finally lobbing the ball across the court. Although Barty did return the ball, Pliskova was waiting for it at the net as she clinched the point with a mesmerizing touch with the ball just dropping over the net. The fans applauded as they were in absolute awe of the duo, while the commentators termed it as 'point of the match'.
