Five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and last year's runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are locking horns at the MCA Stadium in Pune. KKR captain Shreyas Iyer opted to bowl first after winning the toss and his decision was proved right by his bowlers. The go-to-man for KKR this season, Umesh Yadav once again struck inside the powerplay. This time he caught a big fish in Rohit Sharma with a short-pitch delivery.

As Rohit departed, out came Dewald Brevis aka Baby AB. The 19-year-old from South Africa started taking on KKR bowlers right from the first ball. He was finding the middle of the bat on almost every ball he was facing. He played some gorgeous shots, both off pacers and spinners. But the best one was his no-look-six off Varun Chakravarthy.

In the 7th over of MI's innings, Chakravarthy bowled a decent ball around the off stump. But Brevis was brave enough to drag that ball from offside and deposit it into the deep midwicket stands. The best part about that shot was that the batter did not bother to look at the ball after he hit it.

Brevis impresses with his little cameo

The young batter who impressed everyone with his impactful performances at the U19 World Cup in West Indies, continued from where he left. In his debut IPL game, Brevis did not shy away to take on the world's best bowlers. He hit everyone from young Rasikh Salam to experienced Umesh Yadav and Pat Cummins during his little stay at the crease. Brevis departed after scoring 29 runs off just 19 balls. He hit two fours and two sixes in his innings. During his stay at the crease, Brevis did not look in any trouble except for the delivery he got out on.
