Bhuvneshwar Kumar has undoubtedly been one of the best swing bowlers that Indian cricket has ever produced in the last few years. The right-arm pacer has been a great servant for the national side, taking wickets upfront on so many occasions for Men in Blue. However, injuries and fitness concerns have derailed his career in the last couple of years.

His disappointing outing against Pakistan in the first match of T20 World Cup 2021 saw him getting dropped from the playing XI for the remainder of the games. Fans thought that it was the end of Bhuvi's time in India's white-ball set up with so many young fast bowlers coming through the ranks.

Bhuvneshwar rolls back the years in Jaipur

However, the new team management led by Rahul Dravid showed faith in the experienced campaigner and selected him in the squad for the 3-match T20I series against New Zealand. The 31-year-old was even included in playing XI for the series opener in Jaipur on Wednesday and it did not take much time for him to justify his inclusion.

In the first over of the match, Bhuvneshwar Kumar found some swing on a chilly evening at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. There was some assistance for him in the air and as expected, he exploited the conditions to his advantage. As soon as Daryl Mitchell got on strike, Bhuvi bowled his trademark in-swinger and the in-form Kiwi opener had no answers to the Indian pacer's magical delivery.

The dismissal by Bhuvneshwar rolled back the years as fans remembered the time when the pacer announced his arrival to international cricket against Pakistan, during his debut series around 10 years back.
