Cricket these days has got everything a fanatic could ask for. From breathtaking catches to unorthodox shots, nothing seems alien in modern-day cricket. Bizarre bowling actions are another aspect of the sport these days. The cricketing fraternity has seen some really famous unconventional bowling styles like Lasith Malinga’s, Jasprit Bumrah’s, Paul Adams’, and many more.

But this spinner’s bowling style in village cricket is surely something to grab eyeballs. In a video shared by George McMenemy who calls him the world’s worst cricketer, a man is seen running parallelly in his crease before delivering the ball. Every bit of that bowling style is funny. The bowler first comes up with his non-bowling hand in the air pointing towards the batter making him look like Superman.

He then jogs in his crease ‘to and fro’ while the batter waits for the ball to be delivered. The bowler finally delivers the ball with plenty of air in it. Interestingly, the man himself shared the video with a long caption where he expressed his love for the game. He also talked about making his mother proud.

“Folks I might be a fool, I might even be the worst cricketer in the world but this sport has saved my life, enriched my mental health and given me a platform to be happy once more and try to make my incredible Mummy proud up in heaven. Cricket I love you,” wrote George while sharing the video.

Reminds me of the bloke from Lagaan!

Twitter users also reacted to this video from George and shared what they think of this unique bowling action. A user found the action similar to a character’s bowling action from the famous Bollywood movie Lagaan. “Is that action legit? Reminds me of the bloke from lagaan,” commented the user on this post.

“This bowling action is one sure shot method to make the runner stay put in the crease till the ball gets delivered. @josbuttler will be saved the blushes!” wrote another.
