Team India scored 190 runs with a loss of six wickets in the first T20I against West Indies as Indian skipper Rohit Sharma (64) and Dinesh Karthik (41) run riot at the Brian Lara Stadium Tarouba in Trinidad on Friday. However, Obed McCoy missed a possible run-out chance to dismiss Ravichandran Ashwin in the 18th over.
In a rare incident, Indian all-rounder Ravi Ashwin survived a clear run-out chance as Windies pacer Obed McCoy made a blunder as he did not remove the bails despite having the ball in his hands while the batsman was still yards away from completing the run. The West Indies’ bowler clearly didn’t pay attention as he thought Ashwin was already in.

Meanwhile, Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik went berserk against the West Indies bowling attack as he hit four boundaries and two sixes to score 41 runs in just 19 deliveries.
