Christan Pulisic reiterated the Captain America nickname given to him with his magical assist to Brenden Aaronson, who opened the scoring for the USA against Morocco in their recent international friendly. The Chelsea player received a deep ball from the heart of the defence, just outside the box.

Pulisic, with his exquisite first touch, tamed the ball between two defenders. He then faked out one of the defenders and then square passed the ball to a charging Brenden Aaronson, who finished off with his left foot. The USA went on to win the game with a 3-0 margin as Timothy Weah and Haji Wright scored the remaining two goals.

“For me, that was a touch I expect myself to make,” Pulisic

Reacting to his performance, Pulisic talked about how he expects himself to make the touch and give that assist. He said, “For you guys, it may not (look) easy, but this is what I’ve done, been training for, my whole life. For me, that was a touch I expect myself to make.”

“I was able to come a bit wider and deeper to get the ball (tonight) because of how they were playing and how they were up against us, so I was able to find pockets of space. I thought we did well … working the ball forward and it (succeeded) today,” he added.

“I’m not super happy with the amount of Americans here,” Pulisic

But in the same post-game interview, Pulisic complained about the lack of support presented by the American crowd in stadiums. “To be honest, for whatever reason, I’m not super happy with the amount of Americans here, however that works out and if I’m being completely honest. But, it’s thanks to the ones who did come, the support is always great from them”, he quoted.
