MMA boxers Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos were involved in a heated verbal exchange backstage post the UFC 264 weigh-ins. In fact, things got so worse that in the sixth episode of the vlog, UFC 264 embedded, both the athletes were close to getting physical with each other and the security officials had to intervene.

It should be noted that there is animosity between both McGregor and RDA, both of whom were scheduled to fight at UFC 196. However, with Dos Anjos breaking his ankle, Nate Diaz had to replace him.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian star, who was the stand-in for the main event, weighed some 156 pounds at the weigh-ins. Dos Anjos could have made it to the octagon, had Dustin Poirier missed weight. But given that The Diamond has weighed successfully at 156 pounds, Dos Anjos will have to wait a little longer before his face off with the Irishman.

I think I’m a very bad matchup for Conor: Rafael dos Anjos

Post this squabble, dos Anjos took to social media to address McGregor as a "snake" alleging him for sneaking from behind to have a shot at him. He also hinted at a possibility of a potential fight with The Notorious.

Furthermore, Rafael dos Anjos still wants to fight Conor McGregor. "I think I’m a very bad matchup for Conor. Especially for my style, my kicks and southpaw stance, my grappling skills, my wrestling skills. But that’s something that passed already. With the results of his last fights, I think our paths can cross again, but there’s so many options right now in that division," he said in an interview with MMA Junkie.
