Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo has reunited with Manchester United after leaving Juventus, his form has blown hot and cold. The Portuguese striker has not looked his usual best. But since it's Ronaldo, it does not take long for someone of his class to stay out of action for long. His hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League thriller was a testimony for the same.

Ronaldo's three goals helped Man United pip Harry Kane's Hotspur in a thriller on Saturday. CR7 scored the first as well as the last goal in the match and helped his team claim a victory. The first goal came in the 12th minute when Ronaldo hit the back of the nets from outside the penalty area. The second goal also did not take long as the right-foot striker sneaked another one past the Hotspur goalie in the 38th minute. The final of the three goals came late in the second half when Ronaldo scored off a header in the 81st minute.

Maguire's mistake results in a thriller

With Ronaldo scoring two early goals for the Red Devils and Harry Kane scoring for Hotspur off a penalty, the game could have been easily won by the United. But a mistake from Red Devils' captain Maguire pushed for a thriller. In the 72nd minute, while trying to defend a shot, Maguire parried one into the nets, giving Spurs a chance to level the score. However, Ronaldo with his finishing goal in the 81st minute and United's defense not giving anything away after that helped the Red Devils win the game.

807 and counting for Ronaldo

With his three goals on Saturday night, Ronaldo created the world record for the highest scorer in professional men's football history according to FIFA's records with 807 goals for club and country. And with the kind of player Ronaldo is, it is only going to go up.
