Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lost three wickets in power play with likes of Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell back to the pavilion for low scores. However, Faf du Plessis kept his calm from one end and anchored the innings along with in-form Shahbaz Ahmed who is timing the ball to perfection. The duo registered a partnership of 70 runs before Shahbaz Ahmed got out to a close run-out call.
On the second delivery off the 16th over, Faf du Plessis hit the ball towards the extra cover fielder and Shahbaz Ahmed, who was at the non-striker's end thought to run a single. KL Rahul, who has been lightening fast in the field tonight quickly grabbed the ball and threw it to Jason Holder who broke the stumps with Ahmed's bat on the line.
The decision went to the third umpire and the left-hander was adjudged out with bat being on the line. Shahbaz Ahmed scored 26 off 22 balls involving 1 boundary. He played at a strike-rate of 118.18.
