The PKL 2021-22 final between Dabang Delhi and Patna Pirates produced an exhilarating contest at Sheraton Grand Bengaluru on Friday. With so much at stake, it was always going to be a tricky evening for both sides. In a closely fought contest, an individual moment of brilliance was required and Dabang Delhi's Vijay Malik produced one in 29th minute of the match.
With his side trailing by 4 points, the young raider came up with a super raid to get his side back into the contest. After drawing a touch from Shubham Shinde, who was attempting an ankle hold, Malik also extended his arms to get a touch on Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh.
In addition, the Delhi raider had also got himself a bonus point which meant that he had got 3 points for his side at such a crucial juncture of the final.

Things became extremely interesting after this moment as there was nothing separating both sides till the end of match. Malik came up with another super raid in final stages of the match as Delhi eventually won the match by 37-36, becoming the PKL champions for first time ever.
