The Legends League Cricket has finally come to an end! However, one just cannot help but feel nostalgic after witnessed a pure exhibition of class and cricket produced by the veterans of game. In the end, it was Daren Sammy's World Giants who emerged as the champion team as they defeated Asia Lions in the grand finale on Saturday by 25 runs.

From Corey Anderson's unbeaten 94-run knock to Albie Morkel's 3-fer to Morne Morkel producing the fastest delivery of tournament, there were many incredible moments in the final showdown. However, what happened on the 4th delivery of 12th over of second innings was nothing short of outrageous.

Asghar Afghan played a glorious lofted shot towards the deep cover boundary and the ball was sailing over the ropes. This is when a flying Kevin Pietersen entered the scene! The 41-year-old caught the ball brilliantly and just as he was falling down, he pushed the ball back towards captain Daren Sammy, who had positioned himself in a perfect position to complete the catch.

The two champion players, years after their retirement from international cricket, had literally produced an unbelievable moment for fans. The duo proved to everyone that even they can do all those things which youngsters nowadays do on field of cricket.

It was truly an exceptional catch and it was very significant in terms of the game as well. Asghar Afghan, the danger man, was dismissed and Asia Lions completely lost their way post his wicket as World Giants went on to lift the trophy in Oman.
