Sri Lanka’s newly appointed ODI captain Dasun Shanaka and head coach Mickey Arthur were seen having an argument on the ground after the Lankan lions lost the second ODI against India at R Premadasa, Colombo on Tuesday.

The Lankan lions had put a decent score of 275 on the board on a pitch that was slowing for the batsmen. The hosts had a decent run throughout the second innings too, taking wickets at regular intervals. At a moment, the visitors were looming at 193 for the loss of 7 wickets when pace-stars Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Deepak Chahar joined at the middle. Arthur was seen animated when the duo was taking the game away from Sri Lanka in a do-or-die match to stay in the series. Post-match, Arthur and Shanaka were seen having a debate on the ground.

Was actually a very good debate, no need to make mischief out of it: Arthur

The Sri Lankan head coach, Mickey Arthur, who was involved in an animated exchange with Shanaka, later clarified that the argument was actually a very good debate and there was no need to make mischief out of it. Arthur's reply was to Russel Arnold’s who had tweeted that the discussion on the ground was in bad taste and it shouldn't have had happened on the ground.

For F**k Sake: Arthur

The partnership between Deepak Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took the game away from the hosts, who at one stage were cruising for a win. Head coach Mickey Arthur was clearly not happy with the team and at one stage was seen using a cuss word to show his frustration.
