After all ten teams played their first game of the season, it is time for one of the most-hyped games of the season, RCB vs KKR. In the sixth match of the 15th edition of the Indian T20 League, Bangalore and Kolkata are locking horns at the DY Patil Stadium. After getting thrashed by Punjab batters all around the park in the first game of the season against Punjab, RCB bowlers redeemed themselves against KKR.

Akash Deep provided the first breakthrough for RCB on the very first delivery of his over by dismissing Venkatesh Iyer. After that Mohammed Siraj removed Ajinkya Rahane with what looked like a well-set plan by the RCB skipper. The next wicket came in the form of Nitish Rana who was looking dangerous after smashing a first-ball six. It was Akash Deep once again but it required some effort from the fielder to grab the catch cleanly.

David Willey sighted the ball right after it went up in the air and never took his eyes off it. He ran a few yards backward and then dived sideways to complete the catch cleanly.

RCB capitalize on fine bowling start

Bangalore bowlers gave them the perfect start after last game's disappointment with the ball. After Akash Deep opened the floodgates with Venkatesh Iyer's wicket, every RCB bowler sensed an opportunity to capitalize on the start. Mohammed Siraj chipped in with a wicket of Ajinkya Rahane inside the powerplay. Meanwhile, Wanindu Hasaranga rattled through KKR's middle order.

The right-arm leggie removed Shreyas Iyer, Sunil Narine, and Sheldon Jackson in his first three overs. While he got Iyer with a conventional leg-break delivery, he outfoxed Narine and Jackson with beautiful googlies. Jackson's wicket was the best one as he breached the batter's defense and hit the timber. With this, RCB reduced KKR to 67/6 in 9 overs.
