Pakistan and Zimbabwe are competing against each other in a three-match T20I series. Zimbabwe, which is ranked 12th in the ICC T20 Rankings beat Pakistan for the first time in a T20 international on Friday. The home team successfully defended a modest total of 118 to pull off an upset 19-run win. As a result, they leveled the 3-match series 1-1.

Twenty-year old Arshad Iqbal, making his international debut for Pakistan, bowled a deadly bouncer which hit Zimbabwe batsman Tinashe Kamunhukamwe on his head.  It broke the batsman’s helmet into two halves as the outer layer detached and fell on the floor. The batsman was seen being visibly shaken by the incident.

The incident took place in the 7th over of the Zimbabwe innings. As part of Kamunhukamwe's helmet went into the air, the on-field umpire and all of the Pakistan fielders were seen running to him for help. The Zimbabwe physio came running on the field and checked the player's condition. After a mandatory concussion test, the game resumed. Kamunhukamwe scored 34 runs off 40 balls before getting out in the 13th over of the innings.

In his debut match, Arshad impressed netizens on social media with his speed and control. He also bowled an economical spell in his debut match against Zimbabwe. He picked up one wicket on his debut and conceded 16 runs in his four overs.

The series will be decided on Sunday, 25 April at the same venue. After the T20 series, Zimbabwe and Pakistan will also play two Tests in Harare, beginning on April 29. The hosts will be fired up to win their first T20I series against Pakistan. Meanwhile, the visitors will be looking to take revenge for their shock loss.
