Indian pacer Deepak Chahar shared a first-hand account of reliable batsman Cheteshwar Pujara's strong defensive technique but in another sport. Pujara, who is usually the rock, solid and dependable in Test match cricket against the red ball, continued to impress with his defensive shots in the sport of table tennis. Such was Pujara's accuracy that Chahar, his opponent on the other side of the table, couldn't even get a point even while playing with a cricket bat instead of a table tennis racket.

"Bhaiya yaha bhe defence kuch jayda he strong hai," Chahar captioned the video he posted on social media. "Couldn't get a single point with bat also," he added.

Being looked at as a player meant for the longest form of the game, Pujara was included in CSK squad at the IPL Players Auction for his base price of INR 50 lakh. This will be the right-handed batsman's first stint in the tournament since IPL 2014. He has 390 runs from 30 matches in the tournament with one half-century but would need to work on his strike rate of 99.74.
