With the target being set for 196, Delhi Capitals came out with the mindset of picking their moments on every Punjab Kings’ bowler. Led by Shikhar Dhawan, DC Skipper Rishabh Pant wanted to close the curtains early for PBKS until he found Deepak Hooda on the field, who gave his PBKS players and fans a heart stopping moment while clinching the catch to dismiss Pant.
In the 18th over of the game, J. Richardson was given the bowl with the hopes of performing a miracle. With just 16 runs required off 18 balls, Pant decided to slog Richardson. The Aussie bowler bowled a slower ball on the middle which went towards long on. Deepak Hooda got to the ball in time but juggled it thrice before finally clinching onto it.

DC register second win of IPL 2021
Hooda’s 'Magician' like juggling catch might have dismissed Rishabh Pant but the scenario for Punjab Kings didn't change as they suffered their second consecutive defeat in the tournament. Shikhar Dhawan was the star for DC with the bat as his knock 92 completely put PBKS out of the game.
