While Rishabh Pant did get a chance when his catch was dropped during his innings against Rajasthan Royals by Yuzvendra Chahal, given the situation of the match, Pant needed to go for the big shots and he tried two balls later, only managing to get elevation on it without any distance whatsoever.
However, this time around Devdutt Padikkal took a catch by calling for it ahead of the wicketkeeper Sanju Samson. The effort came in the fourth delivery of the 12th over being bowled by Prasidh Krishna. Once he settled himself underneath the ball, he dived forward at the right moment to complete a catch that went quite a distance into the night sky.
