After scoring 55 off 27 balls and taking India to a good total, Dinesh Karthik was answering questions in the mid-innings interview when he suddenly flinched and paused for a moment. Karthik was looking shook as he glanced up towards the sky.

He soon continued the interview and talked about how he thought a ball was coming toward him. He said,  "Sorry, I thought the ball was coming this way". He then continued talking about how he feels at home in this team and is gradually improving his game.

Dinesh Karthik also talked about batting with Hardik Pandya towards the end of the innings. He said, “Just feels good. I am feeling very secure in this setup. In the last game, things didn't go according to plan, but I went and expressed myself today. I think DK is thinking a little better. He is able to assess situations better and that comes with practice. Credit to my coach. They bowled brilliantly upfront and made it tough for us.”

“It was a tough pitch to bat on. It was hard to hit boundaries. Our openers have usually been kind enough to get us off to good starts. When I went in Hardik told me to take my time. It was important that players who have been around for a long need to stand up on such pitches,” Dinesh Karthik continued.

Dinesh Karthik scored 55 off 27 balls to help India reach a total of 169 after a struggling start. While batting with Hardik Pandya, the duo stitched up a partnership of 62 runs in five overs.
