Dinesh Karthik has been in a prolific form in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The wicketkeeper batter has been doing the finishing jobs for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to perfection. Every time he walks out to bat in the middle, he has shown great calmness to accumulate quick runs at the fag end of the innings.

Karthik continued his onslaught against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as well. He scored 30* runs off just 8 balls to power his team to an above-par total. 22 of his 30 runs came on the last four balls of RCB innings as the batter took SRH bowler Fazalhaq Farroqi to the cleaners in the 20th over.

Given the responsibility to finish the innings by skipper du Plessis, Karthik obliged and hit three sixes on the third, fourth, and fifth deliveries. He then hit a boundary on the last ball of the innings to take RCB's total to 192/3.

RCB finish at 192/3

Despite losing Virat Kohli on the very first ball of the innings, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were able to post 192/3 on the board, all thanks to valiant efforts from Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and Dinesh Karthik. Captain du Plessis played throughout the innings to score 73* off 50 balls. The right-handed batter anchored the innings and allowed other batsmen to play their natural game.

Meanwhile, Rajat Patidar once again impressed with his knock of 48 off 38 balls. Asked to bat at No.3, Patidar showed great composure to form a century stand with his skipper. He scored four boundaries and two sixes in his innings. After Patidar was dismissed, Glenn Maxwell came into bat and made a handy contribution of 33 off 24 balls with the help of three boundaries and two sixes. In the end, Dinesh Karthik finished things off with his blistering 30* off 8 balls.
