The Day 1 of third Test between India and England has been undoubtedly dominated by the home side right from the morning. After losing the toss, Joe Root's side put on a flawless performance in the field with all their four pacers joining the party at Headingley. While James Anderson started the show with his three early wickets, Craig Overton, Ollie Robinson and Sam Curran also bowled brilliantly to bowl India out on 78.

As the home side came out to bat, England's opening pair of Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns looked solid at top of the order as they took their side to 120/0 at stumps on Wednesday. England ended the day with an impressive 42-run lead with 10 wickets remaining in first innings. The English fans certainly enjoyed the day and were trying to get under the nerves of Indian players. However, Siraj was in no mood to stay silent.

Siraj gives befitting reply to English crowd

Mohammed Siraj was constantly being instigated by the English crowd when he was fielding at the boundary at Headingley on Wednesday. As the home side kept on piling runs in the middle, the crowd kept on trying to provoke the Indian pacer. There were definitely a few things said by fans and Siraj is certainly not the kind of character to keep listening.

Apart from verbal taunts, there was also a plastic ball reportedly thrown towards Siraj by one of the members in the crowd. This seemed to have fired up the Indian pacer standing on the field. There was a brief stoppage during the game and Virat Kohli was certainly not happy with the sequence of events, especially considering the fact that something similar had happened with KL Rahul at Lord's.

Unlike Rahul, Siraj wanted to give the answer to the people on his own. Just like his famous 'finger on lips' celebration which he does to silence his haters, Siraj trolled the English crowd by gesturing towards them that India are still 1-0 up in the series.

While Day 1 certainly belonged to England, this incident might fire up India once again - just like the previous match - as they try to pave their way back into the match on Thursday. Notably, Siraj ended the day with figures of 7-1-26-0.
