Ahead of what is his final game for Borussia Dortmund, star striker Erling Haaland bid a final farewell to all the fans in yellow who had turned up for the match against Hertha BSC at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund. Notably, Manchester City have already confirmed that they have reached an agreement to rope in the 21-years-old Norwegian star.

"Manchester City can confirm that we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022," the club's official announcement on social media read.

"The transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player," the statement added.

The video of Haaland saying a final farewell to the fans prior to the match has surfaced on social media.

Have a look at it here:

Haaland is the third-highest goal-scorer in the Bundesliga this season, having netted 21 goals in 24 appearances. In addition, he has 7 assists to his credit. During the 18 months that he has spent at the club, Haaland has been nothing short of sensational, scoring an overall 85 goals in 88 appearances in this period.

Other than Haaland, the game also happens to be the final appearance for Roman Burki who will leave the club on a free transfer. This game happens to be his first appearance in a year.

Talking about the match, Dortmund are trailing in the game as of now, having conceded a goal on a penalty kick from Ishak Belfodil. They would expect an equaliser coming in the second half and who better than Haaland to maybe rise up to the occasion before he begins his stint with City next season.
