Borussia Dortmund secured a hard-fought win against Union Berlin to win the game 4-2 owing to Erling Haaland’s phenomenal brace. With this win, Dortmund have climbed up the table and stand at the second place, only below defending champions Bayern Munich. Although the hosts started off with a clear lead with Taiwo Awoniy being ruled out for offside in the first minute, the visitors made comeback in the second half with two quick goals. However, it was the 21-year old’s masterclass that was the highlight of the game. The score stood 3-2 till the 82nd minute of the game before Haaland scored a majestic goal.

The Norwegian chipped the ball over Union Berlin’s goalkeeper in the 83rd minute with an acrobatic effort and went on to score one of the most memorable goals of his career. Some even compared Haaland’s goal in the 83rd minute to the infamous 2012 overhead kick by Zlatan Ibrahimovic against England.

This stunning goal by the Norwegian youngster was his second goal of the day, as he scored a header in the first half in the 24th minute. “Erling is simply a goal-hunting machine. When he sees a chance to put the ball in the net, his eyes light up and a fire is lit,” Dortmund defender Mat Hummels mentioned.

With this, Haaland has already scored 11 goals this season, which include his hat-trick in the German Cup and his goal in Dortmund's Champions League win against Besiktas earlier this week. Haaland is currently Bundesliga’s joint top-scorer alongside Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.
