West Indies put on another spectacular performance at Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium to go 2-0 up against the Aussies. In the absence of Kieron Pollard, wicketkeeper batsman Nicholas Pooran donned the captaincy hat and led his side to an emphatic 56-run victory. While there were many incredible performances by some big names like Shimron Hetmyer, Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell during the match, it was Fabian Allen who produced a moment of nostalgia for Indian cricket fans.

Fabian Allen or Shikhar Dhawan?

After putting up a total of 196/4 in 20 overs, West Indies were cruising towards a comfortable win. Australia needed 85 runs off 29 deliveries as Moises Henriques tried a giant heave over deep mid-wicket off the bowling of Hayden Walsh. The ball travelled very quickly but straight into the hands of one of the finest catchers on the field - Fabian Allen.

The 26-year-old Jamaican is known for his cheeky celebrations and the fans were wondering what he will come up with in this match. Much to the surprise of everyone, Allen produced Shikhar Dhawan's famous thigh-five celebration (inspired from Kabaddi) and made the Indian fans quite nostalgic as they wait for 'Gabbar' to return on the cricket field against Sri Lanka.

Fabian Allen was a part of Punjab Kings side in IPL 2021 and it is quite possible that he would have picked up Shikhar Dhawan's trademark celebration during his time in India. Both Allen and Dhawan are two of the most entertaining cricketers right now and it would be amazing to see the duo performing 'thigh-five' together, hopefully in the second half of the season in UAE.
