Usman Khawaja was the anchor behind Australia's innings as he hit an incredible knock of 160. The Khawaja’s brilliance was backed up by Alex Carey's counter-attacking 93 pushed the Aussies to a total of 505 for the loss of eight wickets at stumps on Day two in Karachi.

For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf and Sajid Khan took two wickets each while Babar Azam, Nauman Ali and Hasan Ali also managed to scrap one wicket each. On the first day of the Test match, Australia were 251 for three at stumps as Steve Smith was out just before the end of the day's play.

David Warner scored 36, while Marnus Labuschagne suffered a nine-ball duck as he was runout by Sajid Khan. With the fall of two quick wickets, Khawaja was the pillar that gave Australia a bright start.
