It was an edge-of-the-seat thriller at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday. While Rajasthan Royals were asked to bat first by the Delhi Capitals, riding on Jos Buttler's hundred and his 155-run opening stand with Devdutt Padikkal (54), the Men in Pink put up a mammoth score of 222 runs on the board.

While they would have thought that they had enough runs on the board, the Delhi Capitals had their chances in the run-chase. They needed 36 runs off 12 balls when Prasidh Krishna (3/22) bowled a wicket maiden which almost sealed the deal in Delhi's favour. However, Rovman Powell had other ideas as he smashed the first three balls of the final over for sixes, keeping Delhi alive in a dramatic fashion.

The third ball which went for a maximum was a full toss around the waist height. However, while on-field umpires deemed it a fair delivery, the Delhi camp thought it was a no-ball with a member of their coaching staff Pravin Amre running onto the field to argue the decision.

A video now doing the rounds on the internet show that the fans at the stadium were chanting "cheater" after umpires failed to change the decision despite replays showing that it was a close call. Rajasthan Royals eventually won the match by 15 runs.

Later, Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant was fined 100 per cent of his match fee for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct. His teammate all-rounder Shardul Thakur was also fined 50 per cent of his match fee for breaching the Code of Conduct.

In addition, the assistant coach of the team, Amre, was not only fined 100 per cent of his fee but has even been banned for a match.
