Is there anybody in this world who can change the mood of an entire country in 10 minutes? If there were answers to this question until yesterday, we finally have one now. Yes, there is someone who can wreak havoc in a nation of 1.3 billion people and can set social media on fire while playing only 6 deliveries in a cricket match. Yes, it is MS Dhoni who achieved the unthinkable on October 10, 2021.

After struggling with his form for the entire season of IPL 2021, the CSK captain rose to the occasion in the all-important Qualifier 1 match against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. With his side needing 24 runs off 11 deliveries to secure their berth in the final of the tournament, the 40-year-old made his intentions clear to everyone when he walked out to bat ahead of an in-form Ravindra Jadeja.

He kicked off his innings with a flat-six over deep mid-wicket and after finding himself in a well-known territory, he wrapped up the match by hitting three boundaries in the final over to take his side through to their 9th IPL finals.

'Dhoni Dhoni' chants in a cinema hall in Trichy

While fans got to witness a Dhoni special (18* off 6 balls) in Dubai, there were some extraordinary celebrations happening 2941 kms away in Trichy. Few moments after the conclusion of the match, a Twitter user shared a video from one of the screens in the LA Cinema, Trichy to give a glimpse of the kind of impact that the fiery cameo of MSD had on the fans.

Just when people in the theatre got to know about the sequence of events in Dubai, they went wild as they echoed the cinema hall with 'Dhoni Dhoni' chants. With their mobile flashlights on, it was an absolute festive atmosphere inside the cinema hall, which was just a true reflection of the feeling the whole nation was going through when they saw MSD giving them a lovely nostalgia by finishing off the match in style.
