There are so many varied skills cricketers need to excel in to become successful at a professional level of the game. Batting or bowling alone may not suffice in this day and age to be a top player at any level and one needs to at least commit oneself to save runs on the field and make a difference by saving runs on the field other than the primary skill of adding runs to picking wickets.

Such is the demand of the game that fielding skills need to be on point. Catches can do make a difference and a video from the European Cricket Network is now doing the rounds on the internet. It was batter G Mustafa who smashed the ball towards the on the side with all his might, even losing his balance. However, the ball seemed to be going all the way between the two fielders who were running towards the ball to keep it inside the field of play.

But what followed was simply outstanding with the fielder not only managing to keep the ball inside the ropes but even completing the catch. The ball had seemingly already passed the ropes in the air but before it could land, the fielder almost plucked it off like anyone would pluck a fruit from a tree which led to the dismissal of the Mustafa.

The video of the effort is doing the rounds on the Internet.

Here it is:

Earlier a Cyprus batter got out in the most bizarre way during a club match part of the same cricket network. The batter had mistimed a lap shot as it hit the helmet of the wicketkeeper and it deflected off the helmet towards the fielder inside the circle who completed the catch.

"NO! YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE ?," European Cricket captioned the video of this strange dismissal.
