There have been many instances in cricket that were just hard to believe. From spectacular catches, acrobatic fielding efforts, to cracking shots and amazing bowling, there are many things that grab our eyeballs when a cricket game is on. But sometimes, bizarre actions on the field also make headlines.

One such instance took place during a match of the European Cricket League. It was the match between Finland and England XI when an out-of-the-box field set was carried out by the Finland team. For the first ball of the England XI’s innings, the Finland bowler Amjad Sher had eight slip fielders and one player standing in the leg slip position. All 11 players were visible in one frame and no one could be seen in the outfield.

England XI won the match by 14 runs

Talking about the game, Finland lost the match by 14 runs as they failed to chase 113 in their quota of 10 overs. Sam Pearce was the best bowler for England as he claimed two wickets in only one over and gave away seven runs. Meanwhile, Matthew Jenkinson was the highest scorer for Finland with 39* off 26 balls. However, he failed to seal the win for his team.

For England, captain Dan Lincoln scored a quickfire 56 off 26 balls with the help of four boundaries and five sixes at the top of the order. Apart from Lincoln, Andy Rishton with his 25* off 9 balls helped England get to a big total. Interestingly, the Finn bowler Amjad Sher who had this strange field setup was really expensive giving away 24 runs in his two overs and also failed to get a wicket.
