The much-awaited trailer of Play Station 5 game Returnal has finally been released and the fans can't keep calm. Developers Housemarque has provided the gamers with the perfect sneak peek to create the buzz around the action-adventure thriller that awaits them. It gives a brief overview of the hostile forces and creatures that the players will have to encounter on unknown planet.

Tentacle technology and deep-sea inspiration

Selene, who is a deep space scout, crashes onto a curious planet known as Atropos. The planet is home to some of the most deadliest creatures ever seen, something which has been depicted very well in the trailer. The enemies look lethal and have their own distinctive powers to pose a unique challenge to Selene. While there is Titanops who has arm made of tentacles, there is also a crab-like Gorgolith who attacks in its own style. There is also a horrifying 'Infected Scout' which looks tantalizingly dangerous and is going to test the skills of the players and push them beyond the limits.

Greg Louden assures gamers of unique experience

Developer Greg Louden always gave an overview of what the gamers can expect from this exciting game. He talked about the storyline, the setup, the gameplay and the solo experience which makes this title completely different from the other games in the same genre.

Reflecting on the same, he said, "As shown in our trailer, Selene also discovers her own scout corpses across Atropos. These corpses can feature projections of other players’ deaths (via our online systems), or Scout Audio Logs that are left behind by other versions of Selene, that she cannot remember recording. Story content from audio logs is handcrafted storytelling, whereas the projections are all created via other players’ deaths and found across all of the environments in Returnal.”

With a perfect balance between solo experience and multiplayer element, this game could just prove to be one of the most unique games to be released. It is set to launch on April 30 and the gamers just can't wait to get the first experience of this epic adventure.
