The clash between two top teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore is underway at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune. After opting to bowl first, Faf du Plessis' team had to take some blows from Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan in the first six overs. The MI opening duo aggregated 49 runs in the first six overs.

However, as soon as the powerplay was over, RCB was all over Mumbai with some brilliant bowling and fielding effort. In the very next over after the powerplay, Harshal Patel dismissed dangerous-looking Rohit Sharma off his own bowling. Shortly after Sharma, Dewald Brevis was sent back by Hasaranga. Akash Deep also joined the party as he got Ishan Kishan with a short ball.

In the same over, a brilliant effort from Glenn Maxwell in the field helped RCB get rid of Tilak Varma. Maxwell went into superman mode as he threw the ball at the stumps while in the air. Tilak Varma tried to sneak a single but Maxwell was on full alert as he came charging at the ball and then hit the stumps with ease.

Watch his fielding heroics here:

Mumbai crumble under pressure!

After a brilliant start, Mumbai Indians' batting lineup just crumbled after Rohit Sharma departed. They kept losing a wicket after wicket and in no time, they were 62/5 from 50/0. While Harshal Patel got Rohit Sharma with a brilliant slower one, Dewald Brevis just saw the ball hitting his pads. Ishan Kishan perished while trying to up the ante while Tilak Varma just lost his wicket to some inhuman effort from Maxwell.

Kieron Pollard's lean patch continued as he registered a golden duck. He could not read the googly from Hasaranga and got trapped before the wicket. Although MI's middle order collapsed, Suuryakumar Yadav continued to impress everyone with his clinical hits in the middle.
