Carlos Sainz who drives for Ferrari in Formula 1, is a huge Madrid fan and it’s not an unknown fact. Having been born in Madrid, Sainz has supported Los Blancos from the very beginning. He has one more reason to support Real Madrid and that is his father, Sainz Sr. is a Real Madrid honorary club member rewarded for his legendary motorsport career.

But, does being a supporter of one club make you an enemy of its rivals? Not sure if that should be the case but it does follow for Carlos Sainz. As Real Madrid shares a huge rivalry with Barcelona, Sainz also seems to be quite irked with the club. It reflected in his actions when he was asked to sign a Barcelona shirt by a fan. A video of Carlos Sainz refusing to sign a Barca shirt is doing rounds on the internet.

Sainz, who is in Spain after competing at the French Grand Prix, was casually driving on the streets when a fan approached him with a pen and Barcelona shirt. Seeing that, Sainz drove past the fan and said in his native Spanish: "No, I'm not signing this." This left the fans present on-site in splits as they shouted "Forza, Barca."

Not all were so kid, one criticised him saying: "So childish."

Meanwhile, a section of fans also called out for the fan who reached Sainz with a Barcelona despite being aware of the fact that Sainz is a die-hard Madrid fan. “The guy obviously was baiting Carlos for Social Media, maybe he should had been respectful & had a Ferrari Shirt to Sign?” wrote one user. “Everyone knows 55 is a die hard Madrid fan. Why wud he ask him to sign a Barca shirt? He's very vocal abt his football allegiance, he's not just a casual one,” wrote another.
