If there is one player who is a nightmare for bowlers in T20 cricket, it has to be Glenn 'Big Show' Maxwell. After a few days of not being in limelight, the explosive batsman wreaked havoc once again to remind the world of cricket once again about his destructive abilities. However, this time around, the 33-year-old went a step too ahead.

During the BBL game against Hobart on Wednesday, Maxwell storm struck the Hurricanes. The Melbourne Stars captain decided to open the innings and the bold move reaped huge rewards. He played some incredible shots all round the park and went on to complete his half-century in only 20 deliveries.

There was no stopping Maxwell on the day as he continued to play fearless cricket, showing his incredible range of shots. With helmet off and destruction mode on, the huge six off the bowling of D'Arcy Short was a reflection that he was in for something special.

The right-handed batsman continued his explosive form and refused to take a step down. The ball was flying on every next delivery and the fans were on their feet. The excitement among the commentators was a fair reflection of the fact that they were seeing one of the best ever knocks played in history of Big Bash League. As it turned out, Maxwell completed his century in 41 deliveries.

Once he had got past the magical figure, it was always going to be a difficult task to stop him. The Hurricanes bowlers had no answers to Maxwell's destruction as he struck a few more lusty blows to get past the 150-run mark, becoming the first batsman to achieve the feat in BBL history.

Maxwell stayed unbeaten at 154* off 64 balls, a knock which was played at a strike-rate of 240.63 featuring 22 fours and 4 sixes. With Marcus Stoinis also scoring 75* off 31 balls, Melbourne Stars went on to post a humungous total of 273/2 in 20 overs.
