The second leg of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is almost upon us. All the teams have spent plenty of time in practice and are ready to hit the ground running. In one such practice session video shared by RCB on their YouTube channel, the players took part in a Super Over simulation. The RCB players were divided into two teams - RCB A (Team Shahbaz Ahmed) and RCB B (Team Akash Deep).

In the video, RCB all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was seen attempting his trademark reverse flick during the Super Over simulation. However, the Aussie was clean bowled by RCB's new signing Akash Deep as he missed his reverse flick completely. The Super Over ended in a tie after both teams scored 12 runs each.

Notably, Bengal all-rounder Akash Deep had been named as a replacement for Washington Sundar, who was ruled out of the remainder of the IPL 2021 due to a finger injury.

There will be high expectations from Maxwell going into the second leg of IPL 2021 as he was in sublime form during the first leg. Maxwell smashed 223 runs from seven matches, with a high score of 78. He also smashed 21 fours and 10 sixes, with two half-centuries. He formed some good partnerships with AB de Villiers as the duo led RCB's middle-order with aplomb.

RCB played superbly in the first half of IPL 2021 as they registered wins in 5 of the 7 matches they played. Consequently, they find themselves in third position on the points tally. RCB resume their campaign on September 20, when they take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
