After remaining unsold in the IPL 2021 auction, India's star Test batsman Hanuma Vihari decided to make the most out of the April-May window by leaving for England to play County cricket for Warwickshire. The 27-year-old made his debut for the club on Thursday and made an instant impact on the field.

Is that a bird? No, that's Hanuma Vihari

The 27-year-old stepped on to the field to play his first red-ball match since his heroics against Australia in Sydney. Although he did not get an opportunity to bat on Day 1, he looked pretty lively while fielding against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge. As Will Rhodes bowled a freebie on the pads, set-batsman Steven Mullaney tried to play a lofted shot towards the leg-side. The ball looked like going towards the fence until a flying Hanuma Vihari, standing at square-leg stuck out his right-hand and grabbed a stunning catch.

This brilliant effort could prove to be very crucial in the context of the match as the score for home side read 105/5 after losing the wicket of Mullaney, who was batting on 31. On the other hand, Vihari would be hoping to continue his impressive start on debut when he gets an opportunity to bat later in the game.
