Hyderabad who are coming into the game after beating defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK), opted to bowl first against GT. Kane Williamson’s decision paid off as their veteran pacer got rid of in-form Shubman Gill in the third over of the GT innings.

Another one came for SRH in form of Sai Sudarshan who was dismissed by T Natarajan in his very first over, This brought the GT captain in the middle. The SRH pacer started his spell with a fiery bouncer that hit Pandya on his helmet. The delivery was bowled at 140kmph and therefore Pandya could not connect it with his bat. However, the GT captain seemed alright after an inspection from the physio and continued batting.
