Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is often known for his destructive shots on the field of cricket. In the first match of IPL 2021, the 27-year-old produced a similar feat against Royal Challengers Bangalore when he almost injured the bowler with his explosive hit.

The MI all-rounder came out to bat ahead of Kieron Pollard, with the score reading 105/3 after 12.5 overs. After a slightly cautious start, Hardik Pandya launched an attack when Dan Christian came to bowl. On the second delivery of the 15th over, the 27-year-old smashed the ball straight at the bowler who tried to catch before ducking out of the way.

The Aussie all-rounder would find himself fortunate that he missed the ball because it could have injured him if he had come in the path of Hardik's rocket shot. While the MI all-rounder tried to continue his explosive batting against other bowlers as well, Harshal Patel trapped him in front with a slower one as Pandya's innings, unfortunately, ended at the score of 13 runs off 10 deliveries.
