Indian women’s cricket team’s batter Harmanpreet Kaur continues to battle poor form. In the third ODI against New Zealand at Queenstown, Harmanpreet scored just 13 runs off 22 balls with the help of a four and lost her wicket in the most bizarre fashion conceivable.

Notably, Harnampreet hasn't had a great run of form after a splendid stint at the BBL. She has scored just 33 runs in three  ODI matches against the White Ferns so far, with 13 being his highest score. Diana Edulji, the former captain of the Indian women’s team, has even questioned the form of Harmanpreet Kaur. Edulji believes that the 32-year-old who is struggling with poor form, should be dropped from the team.

"If you are going with the same yardstick which was used to drop Jemimah Rodrigues, what the coach (Ramesh Powar) had mentioned, the same yardstick should be applied to Harmanpreet," Edulji stated as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

In the 3rd ODI which took place today, Harmanpreet got dismissed in a rather lazy way. On the fourth ball of the 28th over of the innings, Harmanpreet played a shot towards the bowler Francis McKay, which went straight into her hands. She had danced down the track to play that stroke but the ball went straight to the bowler after which McKay threw the ball straight towards wicketkeeper Katie Martin. Harmanpreet looked a bit sluggish in returning to the crease and consequently was run out.

New Zealand women continue their dominance over Indian women and now have taken a 3-0 lead in the ODI series with two more matches to go. India have lost the series and now will be playing to avoid a whitewash against the White Ferns.
