The sport of cricket never fails to amaze us with something exciting happening on the field every now and then. While a lot has changed in the game over the years, something that fans often enjoy is when they witness something on the field which brings back the memories of an event from past. The cricket lovers love it whenever the factor of nostalgia is involved and something very similar was on display for everyone during the ongoing 1st Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

After Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim dominated Day 1 of the contest, the second day belonged to Hasan Ali whose 5-wicket haul helped Pakistan bowl out the home side on 330. But amid all the heroics, there was one incident which hogged all the limelight as it left everyone in splits.

What an astonishing moment on the field!

During the last ball of 95th over, Mehidy Hasan played a shot towards the off side and the ball was slowly going towards the boundary. There was an opportunity to stop the ball from reaching the fence which is why two Pakistani fielders - Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique - sprinted after the ball.

The duo reached the ball at the same time and coincidentally, both of them also produced a dive at the same time which was perfectly synchronized.

Similar incident happened way back in 2014

The incident on Saturday rolled back the years for cricket lovers as they realized that they have seen something very similar in past. However, many netizens failed to recollect when and where it had happened earlier.

It was actually during the 2014 T20 World Cup match between Pakistan and West Indies when Shahid Afridi and Umar Gul produced a memorable dive sync, which fans got to re-live 7 years later by another two Pakistani players.

It was indeed quite a hilarious and nostalgic moment for the fans and the netizens certainly enjoyed the astonishing similarities between two fielding efforts by former and present Pakistani players.
