The Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri has been the flagbearer of sports in the country for decades and is regarded as the greatest to grace the game. Chhetri has etched his name in the history book with record-shattering numbers. He is just second to Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of active players with the most international goals.

In a fresh development, the Indian skipper reached the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore on Sunday evening and did some fielding practice with cricket aspirants. The official Twitter handle of BCCI shared the video of Chhetri acing the throw of the ball with an interesting caption.

BCCI wrote, "NCA's Neighbour, Indian Football Captain and Legend, @chetrisunil11 dropping by on Sunday evening." Cricket's apex body in the country further wrote that Chhetri had a delightful fielding competition as he shared some learning from his incredible journey in football with the boys from North East and Plate Teams.

The footballer along with the VVS Laxman, Head Cricket at NCA held an interactive conversation with the boys from North East and Team Plate. The official Twitter handle shared pictures of that as well. It is to be noted that Chhetri shares a special bond with cricket and cricketers. He is often seen sharing quality time with India's former skipper Virat Kohli. Both the legends of their respective game often exchange chats with each other and are regarded as good friends. Heading towards the end of his illustrious career, Chhetri recently enrolled himself in ISDE Law Business School to study global masters in sports management.

ISDE works in tandem with Spanish giants FC Barcelona and is considered one of the most prestigious institutions for sports management. The Indian skipper is also the highest goal-scorer in the history of the Indian Super League after he netted the goal against Hyderabad FC at the GMC Athletic Stadium in February. That goal took Chettri's tally to 50 goals and put him ahead of Bartholomew Ogbeche's tally.
