The first session of Day 6 of WTC final 2021 produced some breathtaking cricket and has opened up the possibilities of getting an outcome in this match. It was a roller-coaster session for Indian fans as the tides kept on turning throughout the first two hours of play on Wednesday. Rahane's dismissal led to the turn of tides
After the fall of wickets of Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara, India found themselves in a state of bother. But the duo of Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant got their side back into the match with a gritty partnership. In the 50th over, India's vice-captain smashed a brilliant boundary off Trent Boult down the cover-point region.
The fans were absolutely ecstatic as they saw positive intent from Rahane and started to expect a big knock from the veteran batsman. As they were celebrating and enjoying in front of camera, Rahane gloved the next delivery down the leg to BJ Watling resulting in his dismissal as the smiles and joy turned into disappointment in a matter of few seconds with the whole turn of events captured on the camera.
