A technical glitch before the start of India vs Cambodian AFC Asian Cup qualifier caused a massive misunderstanding. As per the rule, both team players lined up for their national anthem before the match could kick-off at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. However, a technical error spoiled it for Cambodian players.

After the announcement of the national anthem for Cambodia, there was nothing played for several minutes. The players were left wondering what was causing the delay. It became even worse when the Indian national anthem was played rather than the Cambodian national anthem. As soon as the first tune of the Indian anthem hit, one of the Cambodian players immediately turned around in utter surprise.
