135:WATCH India's Navneet Kaur gets injured after colliding with Argentina's Agustina Gorzelany in hockey semifinal at Tokyo 2020

The second semifinal game of women's hockey at Tokyo Olympics 2020 is living up to the expectations. The game kicked off with both the sides giving their all on the field. A brilliant strike at the beginning from Gurjit Kaur took India in the driver's seat. The Indian women showed good effort in the first half and ended it 1-0. However, what hurt both the sides in the first quarter was the accident involving India and Argentina players on the turf.

In a bid to win the possession of the ball towards the end of the first quarter, India's Navneet Kaur collided with Argentina player Agustina Gorzelany. The two failed to watch each other coming close and suffered serious injuries. While Navneet was immediately taken out of the field with the injury evident, Gorzelany laid on the ground. Later, she was also taken out of the ground.

Here is the video of the incident:

The Argentina women bounced back brilliantly in the second half with added effort. Their hard work soon reaped fruit as they leveled the scores 1-1. The win not only gave Argentina the much-needed boost but also saw the Women in Blue getting under a bit of pressure. The side coached by Sjoerd Marijne failed to convert their penalties later on in the game, for which the Argentine goalkeeper also deserved the credit as she made some amazing saves. Both the teams ended the half-time with a goal each. It is worth noting that after the scored got levelled, Argentina too got several penalties put failed to convert any despite some extremely close chances.
