On the  Monday Night Raw episode, Indian wrestler Veer Mahan made his debut and has ever since then been ruling all the headlines. Mahan had an altercation with former World Champion Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik Mysterio, where he dismantled the duo. The 33-year-old then proceeded to strangle Dominik Mysterio until he passed out and was escorted out of the ring on a stretcher.

Veer Mahan then went on to proclaim himself as the ‘Lion’ of RAW and also shouted, “I strike fear into the heart of any man!”. Last year he was separated from his allies, Jinder Mahal and Shanky, during the WWE Draft and was picked up by the RAW brand but never got a chance to make his debut.

Who is Veer Mahan?

Rinku Singh aka Veer Mahaan was born and brought up in Uttar Pradesh, India. He has been a massive sports enthusiast as he played cricket and javelin. Then early 2008, Singh participated in an Indian reality television show, Million Dollar Arm. A show organised to find a star baseball player from India. Singh won the show and was brought to the USA where he was picked up by the Pittsburg Pirates.

In February 2018, Veer signed with WWE and teamed up with fellow Indian Saurav Gurjar. The duo were called “The Indus Sher” and was managed by Malcolm Bivens. The duo made their NXT debut in March 2020 when they ambushed Riddle. They dominated the brand’s top tag teams for a while until they were taken off television. In May 2021, Veer received a call up to the main roster.
