India's young debutant Ishan Kishan has certainly made a praise-worthy start to his international career on Sunday. The left-handed batsman played a fearless knock at top of the order as he smashed a match-winning fifty during India's second T20I against England in Ahmedabad. It was certainly a dream debut for the 22-year-old as he took to Twitter to express his joy of playing for the country. During the post match conference, the youngster dedicated the knock to his coach's dad who had passed away a few days back.

In an interview with Yuzvendra Chahal after the match, Ishan Kishan revealed that he did not realize that he had reached fifty. The 22-year-old explained that he doesn't usually celebrate after hitting a half-century. He admitted that it was skipper Virat Kohli who asked him to acknowledge the fans after a top-innings. As per Kishan's statement, Kohli told him, "Oye chaaro taraf ghoom ke bat dikha, sabko bat dikha. Pehla match hai tera, bohot ache." It is then the youngster raised his bat as the crowd in Ahmedabad gave him a huge round of applause.

It was undoubtedly a heroic knock by Kishan in only his first outing for Men in Blue. The whole cricketing world was in awe of the youngster's fearless approach. Former Indian cricketers took to Twitter and hailed the 22-year-old for playing a top notch innings, taking India to level the series 1-1 along with skipper playing a captain's knock.

The youngster also credited NCA director Rahul Dravid for his advise and support throughout the last few years. Notably, Ishan Kishan became only the second Indian cricketer to hit a half-century on T20I debut after Ajinkya Rahane.
