Although Mumbai Indians had a terrible start to the El Clasico on Friday evening, they made some recovery as the game progressed. Tilak Varma helped MI post a fighting total on the board (155/7) with the help of his half-century. In bowling as well, Mumbai made a great start as they dismissed Ruturaj Gaikwad on the very first ball of the second innings.

Mumbai were even better in the field as compared to their counterpart as they grabbed every chance that came their way. Among all the catches taken by MI fielders on the day, Ishan Kishan's catch to get rid of Shivam Dube was the best one. The MI wicketkeeper took a flying catch off Daniel Sams to send back Dube and help his team get a tighter grip on the game.

In the 13th over of the CSK innings, Sams bowled an in-angler which straightened a bit to kiss Shivam Dube's outside edge. The ball was going away from Kishan who made a full-stretched dive to his left to grab the ball cleanly.

Mumbai Indians tighten the grip

With regular wickets in the middle, Mumbai Indians made sure the chase remains a stiff one for CSK. After losing Ruturaj Gaikwad and Mitchell Santner early, CSK made recovery as Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu formed a 50-run partnership. However, Jaydev Unadkat made sure Uthappa does not create much trouble as he got him with a slower delivery.

Rayudu and Shivam Dube also resisted for a bit but that partnership too was cut short, courtesy of a sensational catch from Kishan. Ambati Rayudu who was also looking in good touch and holding one end was removed by Daniel Sams. The left-arm pacer completed four wickets with the wicket of Rayudu and proved his worth in the eleven.
