Mumbai Indians have kicked off their campaign in UAE as they ended their quarantine and stepped on the field for first time on Friday, ahead of second phase of IPL 2021. Many of the MI players haven't played much cricket since the suspension of the tournament, earlier in India. However, there was one cricketer who looked in great rhythm coming on the back of an impressive showing in Sri Lanka. Yes, it's Ishan Kishan we are talking about!

The talented left-handed batsman has been impressing everyone with his explosive batting in last 12 months, both in franchise and international cricket. Kishan's confidence was visible on Day 1 of MI's practice session at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi as the 23-year-old toyed with the bowlers, smashing them all over the park.

Kishan hits an outrageous shot during practice

Ishan Kishan played quite a few gorgeous shots during the practice session, which could be seen in the video shared by Mumbai Indians on their social media account. However, there was one shot that stood out among all of them. Known for his audaciousness while batting, the southpaw came up with a perfectly-timed switch hit, which was just mesmerizing to watch for the fans.

Kishan tricks the bowler with his brilliance

In another instance, Kishan once again moved into the position of playing a switch hit. This is when the bowler shortened the length of the delivery to surprise the batsman. However, the 23-year-old was ready with Plan B as he quickly moved back to the original position and smashed a brilliant hook as the ball flew towards the square leg region.

Kishan did not have a great IPL 2021 in India

The explosive cricketer had a slightly disappointing start to IPL 2021 in India, having scored only 73 runs in 5 matches. Kishan was also left out of the MI side for a couple of games which would have certainly hampered his confidence.

However, as the action moves to UAE, the 23-year-old looks in great touch with the bat. He also has fond memories of playing in middle-east having registered 516 runs in IPL 2020 at the same place. If early signs are to be believed, opposition bowlers need to pull up their socks as Kishan looks in absolutely destructive form going into the second phase of IPL 2021.
